A Leadership forum to address the complexity of the supervisor role as a pedagogical leader and administrator.

The presentation will include a series of video clips and a meaningful (eclectic)  dialogue to address the expectations for administrators and supervisors, working within the framework of the CCEYA (2014).  Supervisors will be provided an opportunity to collaborate within a structured discussion environment, and to share their experiences and ideas for effective practice.

Lynne Besner, RECE, MSc / Senior Policy Advisor, Early Years and Child Care Division, Ministry of Education - Throughout her career, Lynne has served in varied roles within the early years sector including toddler room staff, director of a home child care agency, and faculty in ECE in post-secondary programs. Lynne brings her past experience and knowledge of the sector to her current position with the Ministry of Education.

Colleen Watts, RECE, B.A. Sc.,/Senior Program Advisor, Early years and Child Care Division, Ministry of Education – Colleen has worked in a variety of  positions within the early years sector,  including as a front line RECE, Assistant Supervisor and Acting supervisor in a growing  not for profit agency, and as both a Program Advisor and Senior Program Advisor with MCYS and MEDU.  She was also the Co-President of her local branch of the AECEO for 6 years prior to joining the ministry, providing professional development opportunities for both members and non-members of the AECEO.
